So, it was a cool almost cold Milwaukee noon, and I was eating my favorite banana like I did for the last twenty some years of my life. It all seemed cozy and nice indoors with my favorite fruit.
Then I noticed a small sticker on the banana peel. I thought, according to my proud experience of eating tons of bananas, that it was just a normal product label marking where it is "produced", and possibly "imported". Well, since I normally don't buy stuff from Trader Joe's (I love the store, but too far from it to buy often), I took my banana time and looked at it closer to discover where it is produced. And then, I see something very different than I expected...

I saw this:
it reads "TURN ME INTO" yonanas looks and tastes like SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM YONANAS.COM along with a barcode on top!! Wow!! Most mobile marketed banana ever in my life! What a scene! And how seductive is that! Banana and banana ice cream!!
Of course my curiosity and watery mouth lead me to check out the website. Easy name to type, fast access, quick loading, and there goes the video. (I swear I would have scanned it too if my iphone is already here! Can't wait to try it!)
A stereotypical middle class lady is explaining how to turn banana into ice cream, and I found out that Yonanas is actually a machine that mixes the ingredients and presses them into ice-creamish product. It seemed that the machine is fairly easy to use and maintain and clean. All ingredients are natural, although required to be frozen. The product seemed yummy, too.
I liked it! So I went on to check the price. And there is a win it for free choice! Of course, I tried my luck by giving away my information again, and liked them on Facebook. What a brilliant idea to just stick a piece of paper on bananas and lead me to their site and collect all my information including email and Facebook! Hmmm... Maybe that's why it sells at 40 dollars, it is just too smart.
I decided that I am too poor to be living with Yonanas at the moment although I would love to win one for free! But it is great to see how their marketing strategy is implemented so creatively and tight.
